Interesting take on it. I can get on board with the lack of soul thing. Definitely my take on Sammy's situation and I suspect the show's writers' take too but you never know what twists they are going to throw at us. I enjoyed this. At least we got some of brotherly love we are all craving!! Thanks. :D

I think Sam being soulless--and okay with it--is a very plausible explanation for what we're seeing on the screen. It was almost surreal to see Sam admit his plan and explain that there ended up being too many variables to try it again. He was trying to convince Dean that he wouldn't risk his life again, but hey, soulless liar, so . . . I like that they had this conversation calmly, with Dean just as matter of factly stating "Watch me ( ... )
