Today I had to figure out "How much do I charge?" This person wants to commission me to do up some logos and art for his high profile garage punk web site (ok i'll just go out and say it, it's Garagepunk.com) and asked me how much do you charge? Gee I dunno know how much I charge! Usually I don't charge nuffin, and let who ever I did art for give

i'd charge either hourly or a flate rate...
and make sure you write up some kind of contract, especially if you don't know them

I'm My Space buddies with him but don't really know him. I'm sort of a freelancer (I usually get paid in beer). sooo anyways, I figured I'd charge him the price of a keg of pabst! Which would be a flat rate of 60 bucks. I know that's dirt cheap for art on a web site that has advertising on it. I guess the going rate for something like that is like 150 to 250. ooohh well. And yeah you need to hurry up and take them pictures before my bike gets swiped!

yessum, i'm working on that portfolio jazz now. I'm an animation major but always loved designing crap. I probably should have been a graphic design major cause this 3d animation stuff is computer-science style HARRD!! I'll have to check out them craigslist want ads.
