4 ~ The Unfortunate Man and the Fortunate Cookies

The first time I ate a fortune cookie--not today--I didn't know what it was, so I found the tiny piece of paper very surprising.  As in its presence, not its content.  Anyway, I know I probably shouldn't just eat things the fall from nowhere onto my head, but something possessed me to do so anyway.

Today's fortune cookie said:  You are still hungry ( Read more... )

damn cookie mind your own business, curse: affected, fortune cookie madness

Maybe you should try some actual food? Chinese even.

Well, now that I ate the second cookie, normal food is being...normal.

I'll be perfectly happy if I never see Chinese food ever again.

Not really fair to the Chinese food is it?

It's not even these stupid cookies, I've just been ordering takeout too often.

That fortune cookie would have made me laugh... while I ate another fortune cookie.

I have a strange sense of humor.

I should have just listened to the cookie.

Not anymore. And I definitely don't want anymore fortunes.

The cookies seem to be a bit pointless, but they're funny.

It's seems like they're causing trouble for some people. Mine were relatively harmless at least.

Perhaps they're just bringing up bad thoughts. Mine have been silly at best, especially after someone told me to add 'in bed' to them.

I'll have to remember that. Although, in this case, adding "in bed" doesn't make it sound anymore salacious, just messy. I wouldn't want crumbs in my bed.

So far as fortunes go, that is rather odd. How would it even know if you were hungry or not?

Maybe it made me hungry with its strange cookie powers. I have no idea what it even makes sense for things to be able to do here.

And this is why you should never open a fortune cookie. You never know what your fortune might tell you.

Well, I'm sure a regular fortune cookie is nothing to be concerned with.
