I'm oddly bothered by the fact that the New Year here falls so close to the solstice without falling on it.  It just seems out of place. It's strange to see so many people celebrate holidays I don't understand, but I enjoy the general festive spirit, as well as peppermint candies

Part of me misses home, but I'm not desperate to return. Travel is broadening, or at least it's supposed to be.

If it helps, I totally get it. That feeling of - where am I going. I mean, this whole big thing happened yesterday - two days ago, God, days bleed and am I happy? Yeah, but...where...am I going?

I used to be so driven...but that was a while ago. A while before I came here. Back then I wouldn't have understood how difficult it can be to figure out what you actually want.

It's hard to be driven here, especially when you know you're basically stuck.

There's so much opportunity though, for anyone who felt trapped before, to do anything or be anything. It seems a waste not to make use of that freedom.
