[Ultimately, Fiona is just glad to be out of the car. She was still pretty sure she'd leave dirt somewhere, or scuff something or maybe both, and she was pretty sure Kat would murder her in either case. Farting was totally out. Oh. God. [ That nervousness that the poor girl had thought she'd been fairly effectively hiding had in fact been more or less radiating off of her, so Kat stays respectfully quiet most of the way. Besides, she's dealing with some of her own nervousness--she's basically going on a lunch date with Fiona Hudson and oh god she really shouldn't think of it as a date, Fiona wouldn't be, it's just a couple of friends hanging out and going to the mall and sitting at the same table maybe close enough that Kat might just be able to bump their feet together, just for a second--

--so, yes, it's better to stay quiet. Though getting out of the car, she hits the power locks and slings her purse over her shoulder, and Fiona's cheerful voice makes a wide, almost hectic smile break onto Kat's face. ]

I'm pretty good at seeing things like that. Plus, I think my baby intimidates people. I've never had anyone try to take a spot from me, even at school. [ There's a bit of pride in her voice at that. ]
