If she can cook hotdogs, she can make pancakes, right? It can't be too hard if Daddy can do it. Besides, this way Papa won't have to cook dinner and they can have breakfast at night. It's win-win.

"Jeannette, honey," Foreman said, seeing her covered in flour. "You know if you're hungry, you just have to ask, sweetie. Don't mess with the stove, okay?"

"I was cooking for both of us. So you don't have to." Jeannette gives him a sheepish look. "The stoves are different then I'm used to. There's no coal in it at all!"

She brushes the flour off her arm, looking down. "Are you angry?"

"No, honey. Just making you realize you're a little girl. You're allowed to be a kid with us, okay?" he brushed her off and kissed her forehead.

"Yeah, but I can help too. I'm not useless." She glances around at the mess in the kitchen, wrinkling her nose. "Lets get that Donald's stuff again and go to the bookstore, Papa."

Hugging his legs, she looks up at him sweetly.
