You don't know anything about me. You don't know what I know, what I'm capable of, what I've dealt with before. Keeping me away from those things was probably the smartest thing that could have been done. If we needed more time to come up with a counter measure, your sacrifice could have been exactly what we needed. And, seeing as everyone else who was "assimilated" is fine now, there's no reason to think we couldn't have done the same for you.

If you're worried about another shot while your back's turned you don't need to. Otherwise 'hard feelings' is a good way of describing it.

Of course, I didn't know what other work was being done. It wouldn't have ended like that if there was better communication around here.
