Old comm

Hello

I see all those new comms showing up about 'trading accounts'. And I wonder, why not just use pre-existing ones that already have a few members rather than trying to get another one off the ground?

I'd suggest recycled_lj, which is for all kinds of accounts, not just basic ones.
It's not my community but I have used it before and like it.

My 2 cents:
recycled_lj doesn't discourage trading in exchange for paid time, which I think may be against the TOS and doesn't make sure people understand what are the risks of trading accounts (IMO). Telling people to read the FAQ is not the same thing as quoting the FAQ. I can't remember if the two comms that were already mentioned do this but I know one has good explanations and the other (or the same) explicitly forbids trading for monetary gain.

It actually is. I looked it up a few days ago.

You make some valid points and I will let the maintainer of the comm know about them. There is always room for improvement :-)

You'll see that I talked to them about this. Sorta. I stupidly thought they hadn't linked people to the FAQ as I was seeing posts mentioning paid time and asked if they had read them.

Like most of the old swap/trade communities, the community wasn't very active. I didn't mean to offend :)
