Killing Inside LJ on the Homepage
I don't really do much nowadays, but the new Inside LiveJournal on the homepage motivated me enough to update the Customizing the Homepage guide. From the code, it looks like this will affect all non-paid users, not just Plus users as previously seen.
The ad being added, with the links in bold:MSN delivers the latest in News & Politics and Entertainment straight to LiveJournal. [WEB BUG]

Today I found that the SEC - the company which every public company in the US has to register filings with - has a section on its website that allows you to search electronic filings.
Okay, I thought, Six Apart is a public company, let's look for their filings.

The company I work for provides a blog for its franchisees to use in order to promote events in their areas, hold contests, and whatnot. LiveJournal sold to Russian Company SUP Fabrik
I will not repeat the news, as I am sure everybody already knows it. Wow.
LiveJournal is sold to SUP. Considering some of SUP's past actions (claiming to be opt in and instead being a very difficult opt out, etc), this frightens me, despite the reassurances. They've done a calming talk before doing a stompy walk before ( Read more... ) -
Re: Flagging and feedback
The feedback link to report offensive or inappropriate ads was removed, despite the system being imperfect in its screening and not every creative being reviewed before its display on the site.
