I just woke up and I feel bad because I told Daniel I would meet up with all of them before 8:45 at his apartment. Well, I just woke up so that didn't happen and I forgot their number...I hope he isn't mad. He'll get over it, I just did. I'm going back to Austin today with Becky and honestly, I can't wait. She'll have a lot of stories because she ( Read more... )

Hey noneed2fear, i sometimes listen to something by as well... is a new cd coming out soon?
The Passion of The Christ is in theaters soon - this week on Wednesday.. what do you think about this movie? I'm going to see it for sure - the trailers were enough to convince me. I read somewhere that it's the widest opening ever for a subtitled movie; I have a feeling subtitles won't detract from the full effect of this movie though. After looking at the trailers which have no subtitles or english at all, it was reinforced for me that lack of spoken english in this film won't hurt one bit. To sum up my impression of The Passion: it's a work of art.

Another fascinating aspect to this movie is all the controversy that has been generated about it.
Some people, not really representative of Jewish people, but rather self appointed Jewish spokespeople, such as Abraham Foxman from the Anti-Defamation League, seem to have been attempting to denounce this film for months as being anti-Semitic. The news reported that they even ( ... )

Hey Kyle, do I know you?
OK, I'm actually better with facts than actually getting my opinions across without offending someone.
Funny you should mention The Passion, I've just recently started to hear about all the controversy that this movie is causing within Jewish (or non-Jewish) communities. The fact of the matter is, whatever the meaning is behind a movie, there will always be someone (or some group) that says it's racist or anti-Semitic. Take Lord of the Rings for example, a lot of people were saying they're racist movies because all of the main characters are white and the only group resembling the African-Americans were the Orks and they were being exterminated.
I really just think that certain minorities are still crying about the past and it ruins their ability to see certain things as art and to draw their own conclusions from a movie instead of always trying to find a flaw or fault on the director's part. People are just too dramatic. I'll definitely go see this movie.
