< s>The Robin's Nest< /s> An as yet unnamed headquarter's for vigilanteism.

After his run in with demons, Robin returns to his new base of operations in Watership Downs. He needed to keep a record of these things, whatever they were, in case he encountered them again. Like the demons he'd encountered with Lee and Freya, the Cube and the zombies the night of the Valentine's Ball, these creatures went directly into the ( Read more... )

Nagi is working on an anonymous job he received through the_joker. It's turning out to be more interesting than he originally thought and won't charge for those hours. Mainly it deals with something that had been in the news lately.

Information is power, has been drilled into his head.

Part of the processes he has in place is hacking into the power company's main grid computing system to seek out any power spikes or large power draws in the past month. Most were tied to large businesses but a few has shown up that are anomolous and therefore, just a bit interesting to Nagi.

With his feelers out, he picks up some noise that has been intermittent but nonetheless interesting and he taps in to the datastream. Beaming up to a satellite, encrypted.

Whoa. Heavy encryption and not military in origin. He's already broken their encryptions ( ... )

He's made it to Etrigan and known accomplices of the demon when he notices a slight fluctuation in the feed. Nothing is kicking up in the security protocols though, so he's all set to let it go. Except, he wasn't calling up more data from the Batcomputer at the time, so it wouldn't make sense for their to be an increase in the stream.

A thorough check through all of the encryption indicates nothing has been tripped, but Robin doesn't like it all the same.

The signal's coming from somewhere and Nagi begins to track it back. His curiosity is piqued because of the level of encryption. It should be fun to try to crack.

Flexing his fingers, the keyboard moved without touch, processes moving twice as fast due to twice the input. He would intercept the upload, bleed off some of the signal and attempt to break the code.

The feed fluctuation is back to normal which would indicate it was just a normal fluctuation in the data stream. One last check for possible weak points in the security net, and god did he wish he knew this stuff like Oracle, and he can't find anything put of the ordinary.

Keeping the security screen pulled up on the console next to the one he's using, he continues his investigation.
