A week and a half is not enough time to see improvements using the no 'poo method. Patience is the key factor in seeing success with this method. Shampoo strips your scalp of natural oils and your scalp in response produces more oil to compensate. Your scalp hasn't adjusted to not being stripped yet and it still producing all that oil. Generally, the scalp adjusts/transitions after 6 weeks. Your transition period may be longer or shorter.

Some people find that lemon juice lightens their hair as well as cuts the grease better than ACV. Mix a tablespoon of lemon juice with water.

ACV might not be what is darkening your hair, it could possibly be the build up of oil and sebum.
