early spring, out in the woods
i found a patch of Colchicum autumnale (the
spring version of it :) ).
having to use the latin name for lack of a proper english one makes this entry kind of geeky, but.. come on.. "autumn crocus?" it's not a crocus!! "naked lady?" oooookay.
it's a silly flower. bears fruit in the spring and blooms in fall. go make sense of that.. :))
so i made a mental note to check back later and see how they were doing.
seems i've chosen the right time. and here's the result..
