Hankyung/Hankyung

100 fics challenge

Title: 5 MORE MINUTES
Pairing: Hankyung-centered, Hankyung/Heechul
Rating: G
Genre: Angst, Oneshot
Summary: About what happened to Hankyung after the stray bullet incident in the park.
A/N: Can be read as it is, but it would be better if you read Love Sick first.

It just happened in a split second. I didn’t really felt the pain at first, but when the bullet passed through my chest, it started to sting. I only saw Heechul’s face briefly, and then I saw the great blue sky. I heard screams around me, and they started to die down. Drowsiness was taking over me, and I closed my eyes.

When I opened my eyes against, I saw white lights, really bright - it almost blinded me.

In the white lights, I saw silhouettes of people that I didn’t recognize.

My eyes adapted to the brightness, and I managed to focus on the persons standing in front of me.

They were two men, wearing full white attires that I could only saw in wedding photos before.

One was smiling at me, while the other one looking at me seriously - he kinda scared me.

“Where am I?” I asked them.

The one that smiled at me kept on smiling, and the other one looked at the smiling man.

“Am I in heaven?” I asked them again.

The serious guy put his hands in his pockets. “You’re not in Heaven.”

I paused to think.

“So I’m in Hell?”

The nice guy walked towards me and stood in front of me. “No, Hankyung-ssi. You are now in Nirvana.”

I gave him a confused look.

“Nirvana is a place for souls to be judged before they either get into Heaven -” the serious guy pointed to a silver gate at his right. “ - or to Hell.” He pointed to a black gate at his left.

The nice guy reassured me with his smile. “There’s needless to worry, Hankyung-ssi. You’re not going anywhere. You haven't been judged yet.”

“And now it’s time.” The serious guy said. He told me to sit on a chair in the middle of the room. The nice guy which already stopped smiling went to a corner of the room and stood there.

Suddenly the lights surrounding us turned down. The wall in front of me emitted faint lights.

“Now, you are going to see all the deeds and misdeeds that you have done in your past life.” I heard the nice guy’s voice.

“Play.” The serious guy uttered.

I watched it played in front of me like a movie, except on a very, very big screen. How I lived my life - I saw it all.

I realized that I have a lot of things to regret, but what’s the difference? I couldn’t turn back time.

It stopped with the picture of the blue sky; exactly the one that I saw before I died.

The lights were turned on again, and the wall went back to normal.

“Based on our judgments, you already qualified yourself to go into Heaven.” The nice guy said to me while standing beside a table not far from me that I wasn’t realized the existence before.

“As a gift from The Upper one, we decided to grant you two more minutes of living time.” The serious guy said, but the nice guy sent him a deathly glare.

He rolled his eyes. “Okay, five minutes. But after that, it’s over. You’ll be lifted here, without any warning.”

The nice guy nodded softly. “Where would you want me to send you for your last five minutes?”

--

I found myself standing in my best friend’s house, Youngwoon. I took a sticky note and wrote something out for him and I pasted in on the picture frame of the three of us taken at Namsan Tower. Two minutes and 5 seconds have passed.

“Take me to Kim Heechul.” I said out loud.

Then there I was, standing in the park where I was shot. Ambulance was just arrived to pick up my body. Heechul was sitting on the grass helplessly. He was watching me being strapped to a stretcher and lifted into the back of the ambulance.

Sirens from the police cars beamed loudly. A policeman went to Heechul’s side to tell him to get into the police car, but Heechul already passed out.

I was the one that offered the policeman to carry Heechul into the police car by saying that I was one of his friends.

I put him carefully at the back seat and then I sit next to him.

One more minute left.

I wiped the tears on his cheek with my thumbs.

I kissed his forehead.

Down on the tip of his nose.

Ultimately on his red lips.

I wrapped my arms around his shoulders to give him the last hug.

I heard he muttered slowly.

“Geng, don’t leave me.”

He hugged me back, tightly.

10 seconds left.

He kept holding me dearly.

3 seconds left.

I whispered into his ear.

“I want you to now that…”

2 seconds.

“I love you…”

1 second.

“Forever. ”

0.

A/N 2: So how’s that? Angsty enough? Please give your opinion…

A/N 3: Can you guess who are the nice guy and the serious guy? The nice one is actually Jaejoong, and the serious one is Yunho.

A/N 4: To shaniskara, I might not able to fulfill my promise for writing HanHyuk. But I’ll make BloHyuk for the replacement. Is it okay for you?
