[Well before answering on the journal he's just going to look for her around the house that night. He can swim, but he has a little suggestion for it]

[Ami is, typically, curled up in a chair with a book. She slips a bookmark into it and closes it when Dil finds her. She smiles for him.]

What is it?

Mm. Someone suggested it, and I thought it would be a good chance to do something productive. Would you like to join them?

I'll help you look.

[It's... been some time since Robert and Ami spoke, and he's had a lot to think about, and grieve over, since then. But he's feeling a little better now, and this does sound like something constructive to do.]

Ah... I... I would appreciate more lessons on the subject, actually.

It depends upon the location. It takes more effort than swimming in a pool, where the water is usually calm, but the principles are largely the same.

Swimming lessons, huh? I can do a pretty kick ass backstroke... I wouldn't mind helping out.

[So many generals, so few soldiers. But they'd make it work.]

Thank you. I'd appreciate all the help people are willing to give.

[Yes, they would. And having the excuse to take a break from other things to go swim is always welcome, in general.]

I'm glad to hear that. We have enough water around here that it's a good idea for people to learn the basics.

Yes... [She draws out the word slightly, thoughtful.]

And the ocean is still relatively new. [She supposes most people don't think of it that way anymore, but considering it's an ocean...]

So, we don't know how the climate or landscape will change again.
