So last week I went out to dinner with a friend, because I hadn't seen him in weeks (Mass Effect rules my life) and wasn't going to see him for another couple weeks (work rules my life).

I just got this email about our meal:

I heard a thing the other day about how Target used to do this sort of blatant thing - they'd figure out that you were pregnant and start sending you baby ads, etc. They discovered that this totally creeped people out and people were avoiding them as a result. So now they do the same thing, but more subtly - they'll send you mailers with baby stuff, but will also include in the catalogs some other, unrelated things, like lawn mowers or patio furniture.
