china, in brief

So I'm in China. It's cool. My trip has been extended twice now; I left (and arrived) on the 17th, and was originally to leave the 26th, which became the 30th, which is now the 2nd. The food sounds...exciting.

That's expensive data! The sooner we can get to decently-linked up global data networks, the better.

I have been to Zhenzhou, and Nanjing, passing through Wuhan on the high speed rail.

I was there for 7 weeks in October-November, and then there again in February for 2 weeks.

Have a safe trip home.

I didn't need babysitting quite as much because I do understand the language and can communicate with the wait staff, etc.

My first thing upon returning to ORD was a big mac, mcrib, fries, and a coke. I had a 4 hour layover before getting on my short hop flight home. And I was craving like mad.

Ha, we took the train to Wuhan! It's back to school time there too so college students had eaten up all the tickets, so we took the 330 am train. Fun times.

I was there as a guest of our new distributors, so even if I had been capable of going off on my own I don't think I would have been allowed to. They took their hosting duties sooooo seriously. (luckily they were awesome to be around, too)

Zhenzhou was largely unremarkable but I really liked Nanjing and Wuhan. I wish I'd had more time to explore tho, most of my time was spent working or traveling. :[
