Here we get to see Noah give the lamest excuse in the history of the universe as to why he's not ready to have sex with Luke. I know that the real reason for this was because of lame ass ATWT/P&G/CBS politics regarding NOT showing gay sex, ( Read more... )

And they tried to make us think that Noah was so levelheaded and fair and balanced or whatever. Meanwhile Luke was just passionate to a fault and acted rashly. Whatever, Noah, you're a douche.

He had to be the most unsupportive boyfriend on earth. When Luke was always so supportive of everything he did, even when he didn't agree (i.e. marrying Ameera. If it was anyone else, this relationship would have lasted a couple of weeks.

It was so gratifying when Reid came into his life and called in to question Noah's actions. Voice of the fans, indeed.

Whatever, Noah, you're a douche.Sometimes I just can't figure out what the writers were thinking, or even if they were thinking at all. I've just watched the whole storyline where Reg died from a drug overdose, and for most of the story it really does seem like Noah was supposed to be all levelheaded, and that we're supposed to agree with him for not being supportive of the way Luke injected himself into the investigation. And in a way it made me hate Noah more, because I already loathed him so much, and it seemed like the writers were going out of their way to paint him as good and calm and reasonable in his attempts to rein in Luke, who seemed like he was practically batshit crazy with how obsessed he was with finding out who was responsible for selling Reg the drugs... and in the end, not only do they catch the guy responsible because of Luke's tenacity, but in one of his ( ... )

OMG. the Reg death storyline would have to be one of the worst Nuke storylines ever. i remember at first i was like "well, at least they're not breaking up and getting back together in the same episode. at least this is something different."
it was baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaadddd. it made no sense. and Van was overacting almost to an excruciating level.

Here we get to see Noah give the lamest excuse in the history of the universe as to why he's not ready to have sex with Luke.Indeed we do! I'd forgotten just how lame it was. I do grant that a big reason behind it was interference from the brass and needing an excuse for Nuke to put off sex. But what they came up with was the fact that clearly Noah really didn't want to sleep with Luke. I mean, if what they had was "so real" then...why was it best to wait? It made no sense. And again it was all about Noah's needs ( ... )

I don't have the strength to rewatch a Noah video right now so forgive me if I'm off topic. But re Luke being an athlete: he was on the high school basketball team [there was a great scene with Luke and Lucinda at Al's talking about the team accepting him] and he once made a comment about how losing weight was going to help him out for cross-country. So I think he really was portrayed as a jock during his high school years. IIRC, he didn't want to join the drama club because he considered himself a jock. I'm not sure when he started wanting to be a writer. Do you remember if it was before the summer he met Noah? I know a lot of people miss Luke wanting to be a writer but I'm not sure if it was a long-held dream of his or whether it was a typical teenage phase.

Yeah, it's true that Luke did sports in high school, but at this stage of his life it was just so weird to me that Noah called him an athlete since I don't associate that with Luke anymore.

I don't remember when he wanted to be a writer. I have a feeling it was that summer when Noah came on, when Luke worked at WOAK. So it very well could have just been a phase. Or just bad continuity by the writers. (Infinitely possible!)

You know, I kind of like the idea that it was just a phase, and that he ends up being a philanthropist who possibly writes memoirs later in his life, or pens moving, inspirational articles about helping the less fortunate or something. LOL!
