Welcome to another edition of Douchey Moments in History!

"I don't want to see you get rejected and feel that way... I mean, what if everyone votes for him and no one votes for you?"
I don't have a lot to say about this clip. It mostly boils down to, I don't think Noah could possibly have been LESS supportive of Luke's decision to run for student ( Read more... )

I realized during this storyline how tired I was getting of Nuke and Noah's selfishness. I found myself wanting Luke and Kevin to hook up because NOAH SUCKS.

I think we were all ready for Luke/Anyone-But-Noah by the time Reid came along, and, thank God, Reid was not only NOT NOAH but was AWESOME!

Reid went above and beyond the call of AWESOME.

I agree with your comment, naturally, but mostly I want to tell you that your icon is the most awesome thing the world has even known. EVER. With the possible exception of the one where he's throwing the toothbrush (don't know if that was you too, but both are pretty damn epic!). Oh, and of course Reid himself, he's better than any icon. Better than most things, really. :D

(On a side note, one of the most absolutely awesome things about Luke and Reid is that, considering they originally met under conditions where Luke blackmailed Reid, and Reid acted like a total ass to him for quite a while, neither of them is suffering under any delusions about the person they are with. When Reid says he loves Luke, he really means LUKE, and not some idealized version of Luke he invented in his head. The reverse is true, too -- Luke is in love with REID, the good and the bad, with no delusions about him being someone he isn't.)

I so, SO agree with this!! I'd add more, but you say it so perfectly. It's why they can squabble like a couple who's been married 40 years, but not damage their relationship while they do it. Cos they actually LIKE each other, as people, for everything that they are, "faults" (whatever those are) and all. AND they LOVE each other too. It's an amazing combination! :D

Argh. I'm back in rant mode. This post is so bad for my mood! Oh well...

"Well I am proud of us, but you know what? I won't be if you cheat."Seriously?!?! WTH ( ... )

Since when did Luke cheating in an election have anything to do with your relationship?!?!

Since Luke cheating in an election means that Luke is not the perfect little boyfriend Noah had invented in his head. The one who always does the right thing (for values of "the right thing" that equal "whatever Noah would want him to do). Every time that happens, every time Luke in some way "falls short" (in Noah's mind) of the fantasy, dream-guy he created in his head, then Noah resents Luke and punishes him for it. Scum sucking dirtbag douche!

You are right, of course. My mistake...hehe. Oh Noah. It scares me how pathetic you are sometimes. Reid managed to work out that Luke is amazing even when they met through Luke BLACKMAILING HIM - because he realised that everything Luke did he did out of LOVE. LOVE, you know, that thing you're supposed to feel for your partner that makes you treat them better than a piece of gum on the bottom of your shoe?!?! Dude, how stupid can one douche get?!

I wish I had some long, thoughtful comment to add to the discussion here...

but all I really want to do is kick Noah in the shins. I really really really want to do that. Congrats to the writers thought for creating the douchiest character of all time.
