Yeah, gotta love how Noah is so judgmental of Luke. God knows that Luke needs someone to control him and let him know when he's done something wrong!

(Also, the fake!Maddie stuff was so painful. God the show treated Maddie like crap, and she's such an amazing character.)

I seriously don't understand how anyone could want Luke and Noah to be together. I mean, seriously, even if you're talking about someone who watches these clips and thinks Noah's behavior was justified.... if they think that, then they must think Luke deserved to be treated this way. So, if they have such a low opinion of Luke, how could they NOT want their beloved Noah to find someone better? (Also seriously, anyone out there who does think Noah was a great guy and Luke deserved to be treated like crap ought to get a PET scan to make sure they don't have any brain tumors.)

I could buy the "if there's no Nuke, there's no Noah on the show" argument for people who wanted to keep Jake around as long as the show was on the air. I mean, even though I think everything Damian did with the whole "Holden is dead" situation, and the way he treated Meg, and marrying Lily under false pretenses, and all that was all really shitty, there's definitely a part of me that wishes he hadn't gotten caught, or that he'd been found out in such a way that he could have convinced people that he'd been acting in good faith, just so he could have stayed on the show longer.

So, yeah, if someone is a really big fan of Jake's, I can see them wanting whatever it takes to keep Jake on the show, as long as there was an actual show for him to be on. But even then, I don't get them thinking his behavior was okay -- when I say I wish Damian hadn't gotten caught, that doesn't mean I'm okay with what he did; it just means I wanted Paolo around for as long as possible. And, now that the show is off the air, I definitely don't get all the ( ... )

I shall return to rant at length about each clip in particular, but as soon as a boyfriends says anything like ""Until you figure out why, I don't think we can be together," you should RUN LIKE HELL because that is one punishing, abusive fuck.

I KNOW! That is serious, serious, major league emotional abuse. How can anyone not see that?

Yeah, I hated all the crap with fake!Maddie. One of the biggest reasons naturally was that she was fake!Maddie but another big reason was because Noah basically treated Luke like he was invisible and suddenly (to no big surprise) it was all about fake!Maddie and helping her with her problems and leaving poor Luke all alone and neglected. That's not how you treat your just newly back together boyfriend Noah. What a douche.

And ITA that if your boyfriend is saying,"Until you figure out why, I don't think we can be together," you need to dump that idiot like a hot potato and actually find someone that appreciates you.

What really makes me want to punch Noah in the face is the fact that, in one of the clips I just linked to (rather than embedding it here), Luke makes it very clear that he has a lot of insecurities about Noah's relationship with Maddie, and then Noah still takes off with her without even bothering to take 10 seconds to tell Luke that he was leaving. NOT COOL, NOAH!!!

Ugh, it pains me to watch Luke grovelling in the first clip! I totally think he was 100% wrong to steal the election, but now he's realized the error of his ways. And Noah gets off totally scott free for ratting on Luke to the dean! And for not supporting his election bid at all. Noah's all morally superior and Luke is the one who has to beg for a second chance. So. Toxic.

Second clip: It makes me so sad when Brian apologizes for coming down hard on Luke and Luke says, "I'm sure I deserved it." Oh, the self-esteem issues.

it's bad form unless the reason you are going is because you want to try to make up. Which it wasn't. So, just by being there at all, Noah was being pretty damned douchey.

Agreed! If he was going because he wanted to make amends with Luke, then great. And I get that he doesn't have any family, but this is Luke's home, and Noah has no right to show up if he's still going to hold Luke at arm's length.

So, of course calling the police is wrong when your father the murderer is involved, but right when Luke's ( ... )

What really pisses me off is, even a year later when all the Mason crap is happening, and Noah is all obnoxious over how dare Luke bring his concerns about the situation to Damian, it's like Noah never gives even the slightest indication that he thinks he was wrong to get Luke expelled from school. I mean, I could understand someone thinking Noah did the right thing with turning Luke in to the dean, and I could understand someone thinking Noah was right to be upset over Damian turning Mason in, but anyone who tries to defend both of those positions is just as big of a hypocrite as Noah is.

it's reasonable for Noah to lend her a sympathetic ear, but he could have taken 20 seconds to go tell Luke. That's the thing. I mean, in one of those last few clips that I linked to (not one of the embedded clips), Luke makes it very clear to Noah that he has a lot of insecurities about Noah's relationship with Maddie, and so Noah just takes off with her without telling Luke he ( ... )

Agreed. I don't understand the fascination the Snyders had with Noah. Who invites their son's ex boyfriend to Thanksgiving? O_O
If my family ever invited one of my exes to dinner, I would disown them. NO JOKE.
And the fact that Lily especially was always moaning about how wonderful Noah is, and how Luke belonged with Noah made me SICK. He's emotionally abusing your son, dumbass!Lily. Your son is miserable with this douchebag. Your son is being used like a doormat. GET A CLUE, LILY.

Ok, I totally completely disagree with it being ok for Noah to hit Brian in any circumstance ... even if Noah had been a perfect angel all other times. Hitting someone is not just douchey; it's assault, it's a crime ... and it can KILL, more often than most imagine. There are movements all over the world for harsher jail sentences for what is called "one punch manslaughter." The only time it's ok to use physical force is to protect yourself or someone else from physical violence. I know Noah thought Brian kissed Luke but even if he thought that was the case and that the kiss was unwelcome ... I'm sorry, a kiss does not qualify as as physical violence: maybe if there was some sign Luke was struggling which we know isn't the case since Luke kissed Brian. Essentially, Noah comes upon two adult men kissing on the lips one of whom is Luke ... so he immediately whales one at the man who dare touch lips to Luke's hard enough to knock him down. And it actually becomes a pattern with Noah ... cause when does he do it again? And when he does it ( ... )

I agree with most of your comment here but this:

I know Noah thought Brian kissed Luke but even if he thought that was the case and that the kiss was unwelcome ... I'm sorry, a kiss does not qualify as as physical violenceI totally disagree with that part. Kissing someone against their will is TOTALLY a form of violence... it's not rape or anything like that, but it is absolutely on the continuum of behavior that leads to rape ( ... )
