What I can say is that it is of the utmost importance that you don't get up every morning with your first thought being, "how can I get out of going to work today?"
It is also important to have roof over the bed in which to wake up every morning too.
Well, just because I'm older doesn't mean I have answers, just sympathy. Wishing you and V a smotth transition to whatever future you find yourselves in.

seattle may be more expensive, but it's liveable. I made it here easily while getting minimum wage, and I'm making it here even more easily while making 70k. If you do choose to move out here, I honestly believe that once you get over the transitional period, you'll be absolutely fine.
