Crawfish boil

So I have a Canadian friend that had no idea what a crawfish boil is. So I decided to take pictures from today. Here in New Orleans, it's traditional to have a crawfish boil on Easter.

Also, when I saw that first picture I thought this was a "what kind of bug is this I found" kind of post. And that was scary.

YUMMY!! Looks like good fun eating.

Curious... do the crawfish "scream" ie..whistle, while cooking like lobsters or is that just a myth.

We have crawfish in the creek by the apartment. It's fun watching the dogs try and catch them.

My mom made roast beef with all the fixins'. Yay for non-traditional Easter meals.

Haha, nope. They don't make a sound. The water is boiling at that point, so they die the instantly. They're so yummy!
