But, again, I'm going to have to argue your Clear Channel decision. To skip a band just for playing at a Clear Channel venue is only hurting the artist, not the venue or the corporation. Whatever money isn't made up, they venue will take from the band. If you really want to hurt Clear Channel, then listen and promote independent radio stations, like Drive 105. But, to be honest, I don't understand the whole anti-Clear Channel sentiment. I really wouldn't feel as comfortable if I heard Deerhoof on the radio or saw my sister wearing their shirts...
Sometimes bands have no choice but to play Clear Channel venues. Such is the case with My Morning Jacket, who I will for sure pay $15 to see. Saying "Fuck Clear Channel!" brings too much politics into something that should just be about the music. I'm not saying I won't support people who try to fight Clear Channel, I just think they have their priorities crooked. I don't agree with Clear Channel's methods(though they're trying out "indie" reform out in California), but I'm not going to let them affect my musical experiences.
