Stuart Gordon's career was based around Lovecraft adaptations... Re-Animator and From Beyond are what really got him going... Dagon isn't that bad, either... not to mention the version of Dreams in the Witchhouse that he did for the Masters of Horror series.

Also... Castle Freak is pretty awesome, too... not Lovecraft, but pretty messed up.
