so my roomate gave me her old ipod which is so great but i cannot figure out how to get her old songs off and get mine on. i plug it up to my comp annd the ipod says do not disconnect but thats all tha happens. maybe i need to chnage an ip address or something. i dont understand

if you open iTunes, does it detect it at all? If you can get iTunes to find the ipod, you'll probably have to reinstall its software, but it should do that automatically. Other than that, everything should be simple, it's not going to be an ip address or anything like that.
