The man he was with?
It was difficult to choose.
He leaned closer to Vlad until their arms touched and smiled up at him. What luxury to be able to do that in public.
"We must do this again."

Walter wasn't publicly demonstrative, generally. Culture and necessity had conspired to ensure he had little difficulty staying restrained as necessary in public.
But now? How could he not take advantage, however briefly, of an opportunity for people to know, when they looked at him with Vlad, that there were two people in love?
So, a kiss, quickly brushed against the vampire's lips before turning to a fruit stall to buy a fresh apple.

After sixty years of being forced to keep themselves secret, being able to touch each other and smile and joke and be perfectly at ease with who they were and what they meant to one another was exhilerating.

He'd told Nadia he would tell Vlad and he wasn't going to turn back on that. He knew the difference between love and infatuation, and he wasn't infatuated with Nadia.
Still, telling his lover was not something he looked forward to.
He had his suitcase on the bed, but he wasn't putting anything in it yet.

He furrowed his brow and held out his hand to Walter. He no thoughts to be on his guard just yet. This was Walter, after all.

His voice was concerned as he wondered what could be bothering Walter after these two wonderful days.
