I agree...the romance in the books did come off as sortof of sloppy...though i gotta admit i was glad there was no Hermione/Harry. I thought Ron/Hermione would get together this book but alas...it was Harry/GInny!!!

I think we've all read some really good romance fanfic and expected a bit more from JK, but I guess Harry's adventures take precedent over romance.

I'm with your girl....Draco finally has some depth!

I was thinking the same thing...does Harry have a horcrux implanted in him...heck I was even thinking that about Ginny since In Cos he was trying to put a bit of his soul in her.

As for Snape...I am totally blown away. I can't wait to read more about him in the next book.

Yeah, I think book 6 nailed the coffin shut on Harry/Hermione. THANK GOD!

Yeah and some of her target readers are kids and I don't think they'd be too interested in all the details.

lol, yeah I kept expecting Dumbledore to be alive...really sad.

Regulus was killed within 3 days of his desertion of the DEs, I'm sure he focused all his energy on destroying the horcrux before finally being found out and killed. Also, Sirius was probably in Azkaban by then.

Yeah, Harry dying...lol, my roommate refuses to believe it could happen. He can't argue back well when I say that Harry and Voldy have a powerful bond, like that of two souls and JKR has given hints at the press confirence a few nights ago. Someone asked her how she thought up the bond between Voldemort and Harry and she said she couldn't answer it, that it would give too much away...hmmm. Interesting response, indeed!

I thought about it Leah, and I don't think Harry could be a Horcrux. Voldemort has always been trying to kill Harry, so why would he try to kill something that has part of his soul in it? It would put people one step closer to finishing himself off. And it said that Voldemort liked to collect trophis and objects with a powerful magical history. Dumbledore beieved Voldemort chose objects worthy of honor to put his soul into. I don't think he could have accidentally put his soul into Harry and created a Horcrux when Harry was one years old. Just doesn't make sense now how that could be. I dunno. Just what I think.

And Regulus Black is dead did you know? He died sometime in 1980...killed by Voldemort because he tried to back out of being a Death Eater. I dunno about R.A.B. being Regulus

Well, Voldemort can't sense his own horcruxes, so if he did accidentally make Harry one well...he wouldn't know about it and he'd still want to kill Harry even though he has part of his soul because Harry still wants to kill Voldemort and he believes in that prophecy and so on.

Regulus Black, I believe, destroyed the horcrux before Voldy got to him. He was on the run from the DEs for a few days. Plenty of time to find and destroy one of the horcruxes. I went on the HP lexicon and that's the only character with those initials that fits (besides this one quidditch player, but I don't think that's relevant). I'm almost sure it's Regulus!
