bbgun is Bob Bert's magazine. He was in Sonic Youth around the time of Bad Moon Rising. Then he was in Pussy Galore, then Bewitched, then the Action Swingers I think and maybe a hundred more. Old friends with the Richard Kern/Lydia Lunch crowd. I read it once and didn't care to much for it, but it's had some cool stuff.

I may go to Tiswas tonight. For my first time. Rory's playing Plant with me monday. Come down. Better then Tiswas, I assume. Certainly less crowded. And no bad bands.

i've got a couple of old issues of bbgun around here somewhere, likely in a box with the rest of my high school zine collection. i'm sort of surprised to hear he's still making them, but i'd say at least your efforts aren't entirely being thrown into the pit of obscurity.

haha. yes, just you wait. u.o. has me tapped i tell you. i say five months. possibly this season even because owls seem very "70's" in a way. of course this summer i had that whole owl kick and did all those photos with my owl toy, so that's really why it has to happen.

sailor pants, deer shit, paint by numbers, nurse stuff, meat on undies, tapestry bags, the kinds of hand lettering i do right now... the list goes on and on. it's sorta hilarious. right now they're even ripping off my favorite artist, margaret kilgallen, on their labels. but really, they rip shit off from the entire "indie rock" community because it's run and art directed by a bunch of ex art school hipsters who know what's up. still, it gets out of hand.
