when i first started getting tattoos, i thought i was being so original and then i met tons of people with the same stuff!! or close to it. point being: do what you want, as long as you like it, who cares what other people think.

yeah, there's ads for it all over nyc tv. the girl has the patch on her ass or her back. it stays on for a month or something? i dunno. could be a good idea if you don't plan on getting naked in public. heh. i'm the queen of forgetfulness so i'm starting to consider this option.

i know someone who tried this, and said it came off in the shower three days after she stuck it on! seems like the things should have a bit more staying power than that, but maybe she accidentally got rough with it or something..

What about your typewriter tattoo? Or one of your artworks (flying meat! like that poster you did of the kid whose drumstick grew wings and was flying around.. that would be an amazing tattoo)!

I honestly don't like the idea of an anchor tattoo right off the bat.. but since you're artsy I'm sure you probably aren't thinking of the typical anchor tattoo that every sailorjerry addict has.. maybe you could post some sketches of what you envisage? Ultimately it's your own body and I know you have wanted a tat for ages but just haven't decided...

I'm going to be the snot and come right out and say don't get that tattoo. Getting an anchor is like getting sTaRs. Just say no to nautical shit. Unless you really are in the navy.
