Thank God you're making that painting for me. The thought of it being anywhere but on my walls is too much to bear.

you've got a wonderful theme i love it, i wouldnt think you need to stop using those icons at all.. i mean after a while im sure you get sick of it but it looks great! its a definite style. and eventually it'll change on its own as your influences change. so yea.. anyway totally impressed xo

a. i use a dip pen. very drippy stuff but i manage to control it alright. maybe i should try permanent marker. who knows.
b. no my teachers don't care. i used to try to do more expected illustrations and did more narrative stuff but when i look back at all the work i did last year i hate nearly every piece. i'm much happier with the random, non representational stuff i do this year and my teacher, jordin isip, seems to be cool with it too. if you look up his work online you'll see why.
c. some people think it's in the burgers. some think that the cat ate it. some don't seem to care. it's up to you. missing limbs are go!

i'm glad you don't use permanent marker
i get real bummed when i see it paintings...
i'm glad people are supporting your cartooned images
i've been getting some negative feedback here and there
because photorealism is so hot right now
but i love to invent
i hope someday that this stuff will be considered "fine art"
is it already?
the only cartoon type artist i can think of
making waves is phillip guston
anyway we need to start a revolution
oh yeah your teachers stuff is cool
