Recently at work I started on a project that makes use of a tool that creates executable UML. Having never worked with UML before, I visited the Object Management Group's site to read a little about it. The project also requires that we interface with a number of systems using CORBA, which is also maintained by OMG. Every other thing on their site

I love how you have a CS person's job. Jake is basically in state machine class right now, and I took it a year ago. Have fun being a CS professor when you're older, also.

My education concerning state machines consisted of reading about them for a few hours and poking at the tool (UniMod, an Eclipse plugin) that I'll be using.
