I spent close TO $1200 on mine. I don't understand what you got that's so awesome.

Almost all of the price difference is the video card. Not only is it a lot faster, it doesn't use shared RAM. Still, I agree that they jacked it up an awful lot. I wish that they offered an intermediate card between "sucks worse than my 3 year old GeForce" and top of the line.
