I'm a native English speaker, however I learned German from my father when I was little, and British/Canadian spellings from a roommate who would edit essays for me.

Sometimes I do think in German, and my grammar comes out accordingly.

The other thing is that my grammar also get better or worse depending on who I'm playing. When I was actively playing Valentine, my writing/grammar/etc. was impeccable. That girl just does not know how to have a stray word. However, when I started playing Mark more, things got worse. He's very lazy with his words, and tends to just take the path of least resistance. (I can't even talk about them without at least somewhat mimicing their style.)

So... yeah. Language is so odd.
