Colette Brunel tales of symphonia

Colette is one out of the trio of childhood friends, or derps. Lloyd, Genis and Colette grew up in Iselia together, and despite being the ‘Savior of the World’ Lloyd simply saw clumsy, sweet Colette, who he played with like any other friend. Completely unaware of what being a Chosen really meant, (her inevitable death), Lloyd insisted on traveling after Colette when her Journey began. He does, inevitably, and is the first to find out from the group besides Kratos and Raine that Colette must die to save the world. To Lloyd this was not okay, and he swore to protect her, to never make a mistake again. And yet when Colette ‘died’, or lost her soul, it shattered him. Colette is one of his most precious people, and he went across the two worlds on a journey to save her, determined to never let a person sacrifice themselves like she had to do. This situation inspired Lloyd to pursue a world that he had always imagined as a child, one of equality and no sacrifices. How better to be motivated than to have one of your best friends reinforce what he already didn’t want to happen? She says she’s two years into the future, and Lloyd isn’t too sure what to make of it, but as he’s said before, “Colette is Colette” and he’s just happy she’s here with him.

At first, Lloyd and Zelos didn't get along at all. Zelos was only interested in the girls of the group, and Lloyd didn't like his cocky and arrogant attitude. He was disturbed by how he viewed the world, and yet Zelos eventually became his friend. During the night in Flanoir, come morning, Lloyd tells Zelos that he 'trusts him', and he does. "You're a fine Chosen, Zelos, even if your personality is a little flaky.." He told him once before, because he genuinely thinks that Zelos is a good person. This faith is tested when once again, Lloyd is betrayed at the Tower of Salvation. By Zelos. "I still trust you, you hear me? You were the one that told me I could trust you!" Turns out it was all an act, and Zelos finally stopped switching sides and joined Lloyd's group. For good. He's his friend, goofy and kind of annoying, but definitely someone he trusts and cares about. A bro, in other words.
