[ If nothing else, technology was not as mystical and magical to him as it was with a lot of the older European nations. This strange little device was something he was able to figure out to the point he could turn it on and use it, though what struck him about it is that it definitely wasn't a mobile. ]
[ Regardless, the screen flickers on and any

[ Helplessly motioning behind him. ] Wherever here is, anyway.

[ He hesitates, tempted to ask the year. Yet...
He shakes his head. ] That is the nature of this place. People are taken from their homelands and dropped here without warning. Different times, places, worlds...it doesn't make much sense but--

that's

Was I? [ Too busy staring at the feed trying to rememb--Canada! Oh, it's Canada, well all right then. Then gives him the most helplessly confused look he's waged in a long time. ]
I was?! I don't seem to have any recollection of that. [ Staring at the feed. Why are you like, 11, Canada... ] No, it doesn't make any sense at all. Say, Canada, you look... different. Very different, I mean. Did you.... do something with your hair?
[ Because the setting right now is just not as important as figuring out why Canada looks like he's a child. ]

This is the planet Fortuna. I'm sorry, but...as far as I know, no one has found a way to return us home. Sometimes people will disappear, of course, but...

Right. Well, other than the impossible, what other conclusions can be reached? It isn't as if one day, someone goes about their daily habits and just finds themselves on another planet that they have never heard of. This isn't some H.G. Wells novel, this is reality.
[ He's being rude, isn't he. He clears his throat a bit. ] Uehm, well, though, thank you for volunteering answers, that was a prompt response at least. Now, why are we unable to return home? Has anyone tried to venture out beyond... [ A glance around. ] ...wherever we are now?

Yeah that'll totally work. ]
As far-fetched as it sounds, it's the truth. I've been here over two months now, you see, and if it was anything else I'm sure I would have realized.
You're welcome. Ah--and it's because no one knows just how we got here, or where the way back might be. It's a rather large area, you see.
From what I understand...there are three cities--Spero, Discedo, and Dissimulo. Many have been to all three, though...I'm not sure if people have traveled beyond that.

I... see. [ Suspension of disbelief get. ] So has anyone tried just, you know, wandering one way and not stopping? [ He taps his lip ] I suppose I could try it, if no one else will.
Well, I'm in one of them, I think. Bugger me if I know which one, though. [ Greens flit to the left, then to the right, and he shrugs. ] I see a bank and some old broken down buildings. Would you happen to know one city from the other, miss?

[ Yeah, of course you'd expect to hear this awful, nasally voice over the communicator. Except America doesn't look too good. Pale, dark circles under his eyes, twitching like he's not even running on sleep anymore but way too much caffeine. ]
Man I don't know whether to be relieved or pissed or what. When I didn't hear from ya, I was starting to think something got ya, or something terrible happened and I didn't remember because there's been some shit happening lately messing with my mind. There were things down in the basement and...
[ Finally he grins. ] Okay, okay, I forgive you for disappearing on me without a word even though you knew I'd get freaked out and start thinking the worst. Just glad to see you're okay!

Yes, here I am.
[ And then goes silent as he just blinks, then blinks again, trying to figure out what is going on here. Well, America is no longer on his list of suspects for who the Hell put him here. ]
I... didn't... remember going anywhere? Alfred, I saw you what, a few days ago? Honestly, if you can't survive that long without me, I am both concerned and slightly disturbed by your newfound neediness. [ And England has unfortunately managed to phrase that in such a way that it might seem like he really was the England from before, but oh well, what does he know.I'm quite all right, my God man, you make it seem as if ( ... )

Yeah, well, I was I to know you didn't die?! Between the bodies and the Rail Tracer and whatever the hell was watching me, I couldn't be sure if something got you and I just didn't know it!
[ Suddenly freezing up. ] Wait. Why are you asking where and why. You know where and why. Don't pull my leg, man, I ain't in any shape to tell when you're being a joking asshole or a regular asshole!
[ HE IS JUST SO CONFUSED. EMOTIONS, WHAT ARE THEY. ]

Die? Bodies and the what? Oh Alfred, what are you on about? Have you been watching too many of your silly films again? You know what that does to you. I remember when you watched Invasion of the Body Snatchers; Gods, you didn't go to sleep for a week. [ He sighs, then shakes his head. ]
Don't be ridiculous, boy. Insults aside, which I'll pardon you for perhaps for the moment, answers please, Alfred. My patience is running thin and if you won't help me, I'll.... [ Well he's not exactly going to hang up because he is actually really glad to see America it's important he finds familiar faces to piece together the information given to him to form a whole truth. ]

Yes? Oh no, not at all. I'm quite lost, and I would appreciate a little help, if you would.
