Happy Mother's Day to my Lithuanian mama, who survived Hitler, Stalin, my father and me. She is 4'10" and shrinks about an inch a year. I must confess to an ignorance of all things Potter - don't hate me. But your mother sounds cool.

That is just the best description. Your mother raised a good writer :)

Aw! Thank you. My mama kinda writes herself. Watching SVU while I type. Stabler is melting down like an overwrought butter pat. The skillet of life, it buuurns!

"I can't do this anymore. I can't do this!"
"Told you not to eat that supermarket sushi."

God, I love Fin.

It is raining in San Francisco. Woe.

*cries* When will it ennnnnnnnnnnnnnnd?!

Also... title of your journal? (Old. Alone. Done for.) Liek... Peter Pan?

I just saw it for the first time on Saturday. It made me feel giddy, melancholy, delighted, and somewhat disturbed. I must see it again.

Yes, Peter Pan! I think Captain Hook is my alter ego. Except Jason Isaacs looks better with his shirt off, and I have two hands.

Okay, it's raining harder, and my cold is getting worse. California has failed me.

*shakes fist*

If I have an alter ego in that movie, it is Mr. Darling. Though I am not British, a father, or a banker. Definitely felt for him when in the room with VIPs and he says "I do believe in fairies!"

Friends and relatives have come to expect the non-sequiturs that seem to just happen to me.

The rain is preventing my sleep. I want to be a person who loooooves falling asleep to the gentle sound of rain falling, but instead I want to jerk open my window and yell at the sky "STFU!!!!"

Am also thwarted by whatever the hell it is I have. Not sure if it's cold or allergies.

Sigh.

That was a surprise! rosybug May 9 2005, 12:00:31 UTC
Gratuitous Oz rec: rosybug has penned a witty and adorable Beecher/Keller ficlet. No bones were broken in the writing of this piece. It's about socks. Go read.

I didn't expect to see that in your journal! Thanks! They are dear little creatures, aren't they?
