I'm surprised I've not read it before, especially as it's such a good story!
Thanks so much for your comment and for saving me the embarrassment of a post with no comments! (Where *is* everyone these days? It can get quite lonely on live journal.)
It can get quite lonely on live journal ....tell me about it. Why do you think my friends list keeps on dwindling, because people do not seem interested as much these days, and I'm not talking about the friends who are in touch with me regularly I'm talking about the friends I used to have.
I wouldn't take things too personally. I'm sure people love your images (how could they not love them?) but commenting every day isn't always what people want or are able to do, especially if they're busy at work. And try to remember that not commenting doesn't mean people don't like your posts, it just means they're busy or can't think of anything to say. I'm at home but it's very easy to forget how busy the lives of other people can be if they're out all week. It *is* disheartening though, and people don't realise that if they don't comment and encourage the people who bother to post, then fandom could easily shrink away to nothing. Amen.
The 'good old days' - I was trying to work out why Pros picked up a few years ago... maybe it was to do with the 30th anniversary in 2007? I don't know. I do try and comment on my friends' posts when it's relevant but most people on my flist have left Pros or are lurking in the background. There don't seem to be many new stories either, apart from the Big Bang.
I'm so glad if I've managed to introduce you to a story you haven't read! I think you'll enjoy it.
I'm pretty sure I haven't read this one. Is it a Gen story? If so that would probably explain why I haven't read it. Maybe I should take the plunge and give it a try!
Re the lack of action on LJ, I'm one of the guilty parties I'm afraid. I keep meaning to post, then something crops up and... well, I never seem to get around to doing it. Same thing goes for commenting on posts. I do still visit every day and read what my flist has posted though. Maybe my New Year's resolution should be to get more involved again!
I'm never too sure about fiction categories... I viewed it as pre-slash throughout but by the end the slash was definitely there and the sequel (so far) is slash. So I'd definitely say take the plunge, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
I'd love to see you post more at LJ which I always think has a cosier feel to it than Dreamwidth. I don't post much but I try to comment wherever I can even though most of my f'list seems to have wandered off.

Yeah, that's a pity! I remember the good old days...
And tell you what? I think I haven't read this story either. And I just needed a good tip - so thank you *a lot*! :-)
