Of Holidays and Jungles ♦ for gaillfreys_last

It had taken a lot of talking and throwing ideas around but finally, finally they'd settled on their vacation spot. Donna had been quite adamant that she wanted a waterfall shower and sun. Everything else was just a bonus. And so here they were on a small jungle planet known as Urdria IV. Thick green foliage, golden sandy beaches, clear blue ocean

She keeps expecting some terrible beast... thing to come running out of the bushes and eat them, but so far, so good. The TARDIS hadn't picked up any danger and Donna hadn't seen anything that looked dangerous enough to eat them.

A few butterflies landed on her head, settling in her hair.

The Doctor looks at her head, seeing the various colored insects making a crown of sorts on her hair.

"They've all landed on your hair..." he grins.

She gives her head a light shake and they all flutter off, settling on the nearby plants, except for one blue and silver butterfly which stays firmly in place.

"Those seem to like you a lot..." he points. "And look at what colors they are, too!"

[noblexcompanion]

"Anyone would think you don't want to lay out in the sun with a girl in her undies. Good job I'm not easily offended," she jokes, kissing his shoulder.

[gaillfreys_last]

"I just thought since you were freezing, you'd want to change," he shrugs. "But, no, I wouldn't be offended if you did want to lay out," he winks.

"Was just a little bit of a shock to the system. Wasn't expecting the water to be quite that cold."

[gaillfreys_last]

"Okay...okay. Ever since the Oodsphere, I worry about you freezing to death," he frowns, thinking of that time together.

[noblexcompanion]

"Didn't you put sun-cream on? I made sure to get water resistant and everything. Not that I was planning on taking a dunk in the waterfall until later, but y'know, plans change."

[gaillfreys_last]

"Wellll, I was running after you. Didn't really think about it, actually," he says, scratching his head like he does.

[noblexcompanion]

"Well, as soon as you start to pink up we'll leg it back to the TARDIS and smother you in after-sun, okay?" She laughs, nuzzling into him.

[gaillfreys_last]

"Oh the old Aloe plant," he nods. "It could help a tad. I'm sure I'll be fine after a day or so," he says. "You could rub it on me..."

She drapes her arms over his shoulders, placing small kisses against his lips once after the other. "Seriously, do you Time Lords have some sort of drug on your lips?"

"No...that's all us," he says with a laugh. "Other species, can't be so sure of...really," he thinks about that.

[noblexcompanion]

"Well, good job I won't be snogging any random aliens then." She laughs, nuzzling his shoulder.

[gaillfreys_last]

"Well, I don't want to sound too smug, but it's most of Gallifreyans..." he corrects his statement. He has to laugh with her, closing his eyes suddenly, as he feels the gentle motion of her mouth on his shoulder.

Donna blushes, and leans in to kiss his lips. "There. All protected from the sun."

He kisses her in thanks. "Thank you love," he says, as he breaks the kiss, putting his hat and sunnies on. "Ready to go when you are!"

She smiles and wiggles her fingers at him for him to take hold of her hand. "Ready, Spaceman."

[gaillfreys_last]

He takes her hand, lacing his fingers through hers. "On we go then, Miss Noble," he says grinning.
