My parents just ran into your parents at Costco, which reminded me that I hadn't heard from you in a while. I have been baking too! I decorated my first cake from cake class with dots in the fibonacci sequence...it looks very nice.

Your baking is undoubtedly more elaborate than mine. Particularly if you are taking a cake class. Your baking also appears to be geekier than mine.

-five ten siren's..they were the only shoes in the store that fit reasonably at all
-Oracle is ok. The people are all really nice. The work isn't too bad. The stuff I'm doing outside of work far outweighs it as far as interest, though

rather non-descript code-monkeying on this product called Oracle Warehouse Builder.

The fells are very pretty. I've only been to a small bit of it so far (they're also quite large). I did the Wrights tower letterbox there, and the tower was much nicer than I expected. It's being renovated though, so it wasn't open. :(

Trapeze is fun, but it's rather expensive. I'm going again on Thursday - when you first start they have an intro package of 3 classes for 2. I've been going every other week and this will be the third time... Not sure if it's worth the money after that, though. I won't be able to do it after the summer's over (and I stop having a car) anyways.

ah...I'm pretty sure it's cheaper than pilot lessons. I think it might even be cheaper than glassblowing frequently is. If I thought I was going to be able to take a bunch of classes and develop any sort of real skill, I might do it. However, for an activity that I'm just doing a few times over the summer, it's not worth it. I'm better off accumulating more climbing skill, as that's something I can still do during term. (and it's substantially cheaper in the long run)

Wait, you're working for Oracle? You're not out in CA, are you? (I bike past the Oracle corporate headquarters here every day. :)

no. I'm in burlington, ma. The only Oracle intern here, too. Everyone else is in CA. It does sound a bit mmore interesting. If I were in CA we probably would have hooked up to do something together by now.
