Bishop took her through a portal to walking distance of his apartment again, getting her up the stairs and inside. "Now let's settle you in.. And you should be getting some food for your body to work with. Especially need liquids, with a temperature like that.."

"I have been resting, and have been able to take soup." Jubilee takes a seat in the first available chair, "you asked me something right before we left the Nexus, what was it?"

"Yeah, and how long ago was that?" He asks, raising an eyebrow. "And I'd asked you what you meant by saying I was 'too nice.' You're a friend and an old student, how could I not be nice!?"

"I ate some soup before I went into the Nexus, but I think I could handle some more." Jubilee ran a hand through her hair, and muttered softly, "because it was too nice. And I should not be hoping for it to happen again. And because you were just doing it as a friend."

He'd already started to move to the kitchen when he heard her, and just froze.

Slowly turning toward her again, he just looked dumbfounded.. Something told him she wasn't vamping this time.
