Bishop woke early, a moment of surprise and scanning his surroundings before memory kicked in. Oh yeah... I'm staying with Shard for the holidays. Um. A tiny Shard, who don't remember anything since back when we was little kids... Damn Nexus.

Shard hadn't been able to sleep much that night. Nervous about her surroundings. So she'd gotten up early and gone to the main room to watch TV. It turned out that there was a lot of TV for kids her age, she'd found.

When she heard someone else moving around, she got up and padded that direction, then blinked. "You shouldn't use words like that." It wasn't the first time she'd heard it, of course. But Grandma had told her that she wasn't supposed to repeat them.

Oh well. She had to learn sometime, right? May as well take his licks now.. He opened the door, mini-thumping on out to look her right in the lack of eyes. ...It didn't help that he had to look up at HER, too.

"I think I kinda got reason, Sis."

Shard peered at him for a long moment, then went and squatted down so that she was more of a height with him. "Is...that you, Bishop?" She didn't look like she was ready to laugh. Uncertain, however, that's a given.

It is a bit much to take in, maybe, but he thinks he can allay her suspicions pretty well, just going over and hugging her the way he did back when they were kids- modified to deal with the height-difference, of course. "'S me, Shard. Just... tiny. See, THIS is the sorta crud why I'm not a fan of that place I found you at. May be different for other people, but something happens t'me nearly every time I go there!"

Still hugging, because... Well. Does he really need a reason?
