I first wanted to write my thoughts on the need of helping others, than I thought perhaps family, now I think perhaps planting the seed and yet still about death.

So this week don't be surprise to find the following reflections on my continued preachy mood in honor of Lent. This I hope is more food for thought than anything else. The current ( Read more... )

lol....thats great. You have given much to remind myself of, reflect on and strengethen in. During lent I do what you just did right now. I write reflections, share my two cents. I talk about some issue that interests me and share my views. The issues I listed are things I plan to talk about, much in the same way that you did here and I thank you for it. And I tell the kids the same thing about confession, that last line makes a difference, please forgive me for the sins I do not remember, or in your words, and for the sins I have forgotten. Thanks again and this is exactly what I was thinking about. Although I agree God's will is to have us to have faith of a child but is not limited to just that, that it also includes the need to do good works because like you said it helps to spread God's goodness. The worship of God is always first and most important. It has too be in order to do God's will which includes the need to help others. I will go more into in a later post. Thanks for sharing so much.

Thank you! I feel very complimented. My mother is a Theologian and has taught be my whole life(Minus the college class I have taken in that subject). I have an entire library of theology books! If you ever want a different perspective on subjects, feel free to e-mail me at kathrynelaraine@yahoo.com . I come to most of my views from a jewish perspective, like when the priest washes his hands before blessing the Eucharist, it's the same prayer (...And cleans me of my sins...) It's the same thing the man of the house or the Rabbi does before breaking the bread. After all, a lot of people forget, Jesus was a Jew. lol.

I will do that. I am always seeking to understand my faith in new ways. They say that a lot of the Church's way of doing things comes from the Jewish faith but I never get to see it and Thank God for allowing you to come along path so that I may learn more about this side of my faith. Thats again.
