No, not at all. It's a holiday celebrating the failure of the attempt to blow things up. Though it seems not a lot of people know this anymore...where I am from, at least.

It's just another night for revelry now.

That's true.. I think some celebrations have really nice stories to them, so I always like hearing about them. Like the legend behind Tanabata, it's really nice.
