And I wonder. What does blood mean to you?
Emotions, sentiments, small and cruel fondness?

No cure for curiosity. Come on, children, I value your opinion.

It's a dire question, but I'm afraid I must ask it. Curiosity can be painful and all.

Do you enjoy your job, sir?

Satisfaction brought it back. Nobody knows that part, so strange. Does away with the consequences, I suppose.

An honest one - if there is such a thing. But I'm glad you enjoy your job. Keeps respectable society running well if the men enjoy their jobs.

Particularly if it has to do with blood.

Blood is our life, it isn't 'merely' anything.

So much more. So much, much more. As many questions as there are about life. You see?

What a dumb question; it obviously depends on the context. Usually it's more of a comedic prop than anything else though.
