In-Game Character Information
Name: Gray Fullbuster
Series: Fairy Tail
Age: 17

Personality: Even though he has his moments, Gray isn’t the type of person that you would call friendly. Ever since he was a kid he’s had a frown on his face and a very short temper to go with it. Perhaps because of his past (after his parents and the townsfolk were killed by the monster Deliora, he was taken in by the mage Ur, who taught him Ice Magic in the mountains), Gray enjoys fighting and likes to create rivalries. This helps him become stronger, and it’s also his way of making friends.

The ice mage is rather proud, and almost as sensitive as a quaffle. Even though he makes an effort to be nicer with girls (or at least with those that would either cry or kill him), he’s rather blunt, and doesn’t hold back when insulting someone like Natsu. He would rather wear a dress than admitting that Natsu is one of his best friends, if not THE best. They have been constantly battling over the smallest things for years, but when the time comes to join their forces, they do it without second thoughts (but they still complain about it). Still, according to Lucy, the reason they act like this with one another is because of their opposing elements, Fire and Ice.

Gray, of course, isn’t always angry or moody. He really likes to hang out with friends such as Cana, Lucy, Happy and many more from the guild, to laugh with them or to discuss a serious matter. He’s very protective of them, especially because Fairy Tail is his new family. The ice mage is the type of person that will do everything within his reach to fight for someone he loves, even if it means to forfeit his life. However, he’ll try to stay alive, because he knows what it means to lose someone. In the past, his Master, Ur, sacrificed herself to kill the beast that killed his parents and years later, he, too, attempted the same when he found the beast trapped in Ur’s ice. But Natsu stopped him from performing the forbidden magic, and later they found out the monster had, indeed, died long ago. Now, he lives on for Ur’s sake, and refuses to give up on the life she saved not once, but twice.

Despite showing an interest in girls (such as underwear, among other things he probably wasn’t supposed to see), Gray is very, well… naïve. He’ll blush at the sight of panties, but he won’t realize girls are interested in him, unless they say it very clearly, and even then… who knows. He’s very dense when it comes to love matters concerning himself, and has little to no interest about other people’s love affairs. Right now, he’s a grumpy teenager whose main focus is to battle, and not dating.

To finish up, Gray has a very old, bad habit. He will randomly take off his clothes, without even realizing he did so until someone points it out. The reason he does this goes back to his training with Ur, where they would take their clothes off (except for their underwear) so they could adapt to the mountain’s very cold temperature. Ever since then, he’ll often lose his shirts, pants, shoes… and eventually end up in just his boxers. Then, to make up for it, he usually asks people to lend him their clothes, so he won’t stay (almost) naked.

Background: Gray’s father was far from being an amazing wizard. Because of this, as well as his interest in the muggle world, he chose to live in a muggle town and get used to their (silly) way of life. Soon after, he got married to a muggle girl and they had their only son, Gray. His father never kept his magical powers a secret, though he would do his best not to use them. But, every summer, he’d take his family and go back to Isbin, the town where he was born, to visit his parents. Gray’s grandparents weren’t very keen on the idea of having a muggle daughter-in-law, but they slowly accepted it, mostly because of Gray. The child seemed to have inherited his father’s magical powers, so they were sure he’d go to Hogwarts one day.

When Gray was 8 years old, while they were staying at Isbin with his grandparents, Deliora appeared. The devil of misfortune and disaster, created by Zeref a long time ago, happened to have found the small town as it wandered the icy mountains. Created for the sole purpose of causing destruction, it didn’t take long for it to massacre the town and its inhabitants. Only the small Gray survived, and he swore to take revenge on the monster that, in an instant, took everything away for him, except for his life.

The wizard Ur, known for her amazing ice element spells, wasn’t far from that town when the attack occurred. But when she finally got there, Deliora was long gone, and only left destruction behind it. But she still took a look around, searching for any possible survivors, along with her disciple, Leon. And she did find one. Gray was lying down on the ground, covered by rumble, shivering and crying, and cursing Deliora.

After recovering in Ur’s house in the mountains, Gray was still determined to take revenge on the beast. He asked (more like demanded) the woman to teach him magic so he could defeat him, but she said it wasn’t her job to do so. However, she knew where he could learn all kinds of magic, and it was in a school called Hogwarts. Ur promised Gray she would take him there, and maybe give him a few tips about ice magic on the way. On their way through the icy mountains, she would train the kids by making them take off their clothes, and run on the snow in only their underwear, so they would become used to the snow and use its power more easily. The boys had a mutual rivalry, as they kept trying to be better than the other one at everything. Leon wanted to be able to defeat his teacher in a duel someday, and Gray… Gray wanted power. He would often ask Ur to teach them stronger spells, but she would just smile and say that magic grows stronger if whoever uses it is strong. But Gray wouldn’t buy that. It took them a year to reach a city with a train station, mostly because of their training, as well as her teachings in controlling ice magic without a wand.

However, when they got there, there were rumors about Deliora attacking a nearby town. Gray snapped, wanting revenge more than ever, thinking that now that he could use magic that he could defeat him. Ur and Leon tried to stop him, but he snapped at them and told Ur that, if he died, it would’ve been her fault for not teaching him stronger spells. She didn’t run after him immediately, in shock with what he said, as well as feeling upset that his revenge meant more to him than life did. But he was still her disciple, one of her boys, and as a teacher (and perhaps a mother?), she felt that it was her duty to take away his darkness.

So, with Leon coming right behind her, she went after Gray to stop him from fighting Deliora. When they finally reached the town, most of it was already destroyed. The mighty monster took out Leon with an attack, and Gray, who regained consciousness after Ur finding him, went to grab Leon and take him far from the monster, like Ur told him too. But before he did, he asked her why she had come back for him, after everything that had been said. Ur smiled, as usual, saying that she was happy living with her disciples and watching them grow. And that it was her duty to take away their sorrow and darkness, so that they could enjoy their lifes. Gray ran off, carrying Leon over his shoulder, trusting that his teacher would be strong enough to defeat the creature.

However, when the boy returned to where he had last seen Ur… she was gone. And Deliora was nowhere to be seen either.*

After a few days, Gray gave up on looking for his missing teacher and set off to Magnolia town, where they were headed before the boy had found out about the monster. After getting lost in the large, yet busy streets, he finally found his way to Fairy Tail’s large building. He found Makarov right away, the old man in charge of the orphanage. Gray joined Fairy Tail, mostly because it was Ur’s wish, not just because he was all alone. There he met Cana, and then Erza, and on his last year in the orphanage, Natsu. The two boys had constant arguments and battles, except when Erza was around, because she would beat them up for not being friendly with each other.

When Gray turned 11, he received his letter from Hogwarts, just like his family had told him he would. Together with Natsu and the others, they all boarded the train that would take them to the school of witchcraft and wizardry. Now, 6 years later, very little has changed except their height and power.

(*Rather than saying that Ur died, Deliora was sealed and that Leon left to who knows where, I’m leaving this open for possible Ur/Leon players)

Blood: Half-Blood (Dad was a Wizard, mother was a Muggle.)

Preferred House: Gryffindor
Why you think they belong in this house? He’s brave and won’t hesitate to fight for what he believes is right. Even though he’s loyal to his friends, his protective side stands out. Also, he’s not smart enough for Ravenclaw, he’s too much of a troublemaker to be a Hufflepuff, and he’s too good for Slytherin.

School Year: 7

Quidditch Position: For now, not interested. Besides, stripping on a firebolt might not be a good idea.
Would you like the character to possibly get a higher position? Considering who I’m apping, I’ll have to say no xD

Huh, I haven’t seen this thing in years. That stupid fire idiot hid my journal! Who knew we’d both do that same thing…

Anyway, this time it’s staying with me, and… I guess I could use it more often. I see a lot of people use their journals, and it looks like I can use this to make fun of Natsu, even when he’s away. I’ll get back at him for stealing my boxers when I wasn’t looking!!

…Um, by the way… anyone got some pants I could borrow? I lost mine and now I’m in the hallway, trying to avoid getting caught by a teacher. Tch, I bet Natsu took them away too! He’s so getting his ass kicked today!!

Gray had an annoyed expression on his face as he left the classroom of Muggle Studies. He wasn’t very pleased with the way their teacher would speak of muggles, like they were some poor, hairless monkeys, who thought the only use for wands was to scratch their backs. Having a muggle mother and being raised in a muggle town, you could say Gray was far from being pleased with the whole thing. And when he told the teacher a piece of his mind, which consisted of asking him if he had even seen a muggle before, the offended teacher gave him extra homework as punishment, as well as a warning that, next time, he wouldn’t be so lucky.

As he took off his robe, leaving it abandoned on the floor, he walked down the hallway as he made his way to the Great Hall. He was starving, but what he wanted the most, right now, was a punching bag. As he unbuttoned his shirt, he thought how he was sure Natsu would be there, and, knowing his friend rival, he wouldn’t refuse such a challenge, even if they did it all the time.

The ice wizard frowned as he felt stares on him, and looked around him. What were they all looking at? He glared at them as he asked this angrily, but stopped as he felt a chilly breeze on his chest. He looked down and, to his surprise, found that his clothes were missing! Luckily, this time he still had his pants on. A bit embarrassed, he decided to go back and pick up his clothes, hoping someone hadn’t grabbed them before he could.
