Hey your alive! Was it the tumble weed comment? Taking better care of yourself is a good life goal it takes time to make changes but soon it becomes old hat. Were all screw-ups in our own right so welcome back to the land of LJ where daily affirmations of current insanity runs a muck. :D Soooooooooo does this mean I can end the rumor that you were taken by Aquaman and made into his under water love slave? I know the job came with a nice leather collar and bell but it's spring time to re-accessorize.
*digi-hug* I hope things chin up for you; when things are down, they're all the way down, I know man, and there's no way to help it until they start to fix themselves.
"i have diabetes, i cant take a day off from the disease...
..its sucks and makes you feel like worst parts of an eating disorder and mental disorder rolled into one."
That's one of the best, most poignant descriptions I've heard for dealing with diabetes.
Discipline where diabetes is concerned doesn't come over night.
Sam and I struggled with his disease for several years, and I supported him through his theories and compromises. It was he who finally decided on the best course of action for handling the disease, and he's never felt better.
He decided to cut out sugar totally because his memory would suffer severely when he had it. Hang in there. the only advice I gave him I'll give you, consider a support group for other "twenty-somethings" with diabetes. On top of everything else, being diabetic can feel very isolating.
