well, I signed up for a Xander ficathon, then failed to get the story completely done, and they won't give me a week to finish. I'm pretty sure my fanfic writing days are over, unless I get off my lazy butt and finish Road to Gabon. I have neither the energy nor the inclination to write anymore. My true passion is painting, so that's where I'm

Thank you. That's a very lovely thing to say. I would like to finish "Gabon", but I feel like the fandom had gotten away from me.

I know how you feel. I used to write, back in the day, putting out some stuff for ST: Voy. Then just lost the feel for it, until several years later, BTVS came along and I found my muse again.

Sadly, things like R/L, Joss & Co.'s treatment of the characters et al hunted down my muse and made her disappear.

If painting is your passion now, don't let it go to waste by forcing yourself to write. You won't like what comes out of your pen and it'll sour you for any other endeavors.

So true. I'll always love "Buffy", but it's been years since I actually watched the show, and I've lost the rhythm of it. I would like to finish what I started, but other than that, I think my take on the 'verse is played out.

Also: Love the Michael Madsen icon. The man is a minor god. Not quite a Walken, but give him time...
