I haven't posted here much lately. Work has devoured my life and my creativity, and I really haven't had much to say of late. But I do read what's going on. I'm pretty much with you. The premise is pretty ridiculous, and it seems like there was a lot of work done to try and make the Othello connection fit. A love-triangle does not automatically mean Othello...Especially when the third person in the triangle is no longer pursuing the love interest!

I'm kind of thinking about doing a point-by-point rebuttal, because there is so much bending of canon and ridiculous twisting of facts to try and fit the intitial premise.

Quite frankly, it's stupidity masquerading as intelligence, and it's disappointing that so many people replied to it thinking it was this wonderfully intellectual deconstruction of the Buffy/Angel/Xander relationship.

I would be very interested in reading your rebuttal. I was tempted to do one myself, but I lack the drive, and I'm not sure I could avoid saying less-than-nice things.
