Detentions
Well, I finally turned in my essay to Professor Snape on the Importance of Toad Heartstring. It was a bit sad to see all of the dissected toads in the book, but sort of interesting. When I handed the parchment over to Professor Snape, I was really thinking he was going to ball it up and throw it away! I was so nervous that I almost backed right into a shelf of vials filled with... I'm not sure what it was.
After he was done reading my essay, he looked up at me. I honestly thought he was going to give me another detention for it! But then he says:
"Well Longbottom, I suppose this isn't quite as abysmal as expected. Two points for Gryffindor for this essay. Enjoy them as this is probably the only time you'll earn points from *this* class. Now get out!"
And get out I did! I am so excited, though! Professor Snape has NEVER given me points for anything! I haven't told Harry, Ron, Seamus or Dean about it yet, but I'm sure they'll be just as excited. I hope I don't do anything to get them taken away, though.
