Well. I haven't yet posted in this community, and now seems as good of a time as any to begin.
Yesterday I went to Hogsmeade with Rheece. We haven't seen each other much since the Ball. I know it's my fault. I just . . . don't want that to happen again. But he is my good friend. I wanted to spend some time with him.
I guess the day started out okay. It was pretty nice out. Sunny, but not too warm. We took our cloaks with us, but we ended up not needing them at all. So Rheece performed a handy shrinking spell and carried them in his satchel.
I didn't really feel like buying anything. I'm not a very material person. I don't understand shopping, or anything like that. I did get a Fizzing Whizbee at Honeyduke's, but it is really not normal for me. Rheece, of course, bought a whole bag full of chocolate. I don't know how he will eat all of it without getting sick.
Later, Rheece wanted to go see the new joke shop that the Weasley twins who were in Gryffindor run now, so I decided to go to Spellbound and look for something new to read. There's nothing like the smell of books. I likely embarrassed myself, sitting there, just breathing in the scent of them. It didn't matter, though, because then Ginny Weasley hit me on the head with a book! I was very alarmed, but it didn't hurt. Really. It was just surprising!
I really wasn't mad, though, honestly. We had a nice little chat afterwards, with her friend Soblessa. They're both very nice! I've never really spoken to them before. I always thought about casting a charm to make my hair red, maybe. I would never have the courage to do it, though.
I met up with Rheece, then, at the Three Broomsticks, and we had a short chat over butterbeer. We talked about Quidditch, mostly. I have to admit that I'm still a little upset over losing last week, but the Gryffindors played a good game. We might still have a chance for the cup, I think, if we beat Hufflepuff by a large margin. I was really hoping to win the Cup this year, since it's my last one. Quidditch hasn't been the same for me recently, though.
I guess everyone knows what happened at the Three Broomsticks. Professor Snape and Professor Black started fighting. Madam Hooch and Professor Lupin were there as well. Rheece and I hid behind the bar, because we really didn't want to get involved. I think Madam Rosmerta was very upset.
The fight kind of ended when poor Ginny Weasley got hit in the head with a bottle. I really hope she's okay! I was meaning to go visit her in the hospital wing, but when I went, she was already gone. So I think that means she's doing okay.
Professor Lupin must have stood too closely to the fireplace during the fight, because his robes caught fire, and that's when the fight *really* ended. Except for Professor Black and Professor Snape. They kept fighting until Headmaster Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall came. And then a lot of people got taken to jail! It was really awful.
Rheece and I made it back to Hogwarts okay. I hope everyone else is alright. A lot of students were there, but I think mostly everyone managed to hide.
I hope you feel better, Ginny!
